For more on the above photo go to Reuters here.

The expression on her face after being freed from being held hostage in Colombia for six and a half years by FARC and being reunited with her children. Look at the Mona Lisa below. There is discussion as to why Mona Lisa is smiling but Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi the founder of Sahaja Yoga has explained in one of her talks that the smile is because Mona Lisa was a mother that had lost her children but someone had brought a small child in the room and that made her smile with the love of a mother.

From Wikipedia:

Ingrid Betancourt Pulecio (born December 25, 1961) is a Colombian-French politician, former senator and anti-corruption activist. Betancourt was kidnapped by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) on February 23, 2002, and rescued from captivity six and a half years later in Operation Jaque, along with 14 other hostages (three Americans and 11 Colombian policemen and soldiers), by Colombian security forces on July 2, 2008, who tricked the FARC into believing they were a leftist non-governmental organization.
