I arrived early and it was warmer than expected: plus 5 and icy. So I put klister on for grip. Well, klister worked great except there was a fair bit of debris, pine needles and some cones in the track. At one point I had to stop and scrap off a thick layer of needles on the ski bottom. So then there was no grip. I double poled and skated back. Actually the skating was fun, but hard to do on non-skating boots and with shorter poles.
So it was a short day of skiing but the espresso on the way home was good!
So the potential option is get waxless skis or skating equipment of just hope it stays cold.[sgpx gpx=”/wp-content/uploads/gpx/20151204.gpx”]
