About

This blog was created in 2005 to keep family and friends up to date on what is going on in Kuwait. Way back then, everybody wasn’t on Facebook! So this blog was the best way to answer the common question: “What is it like?”.

I lived in Kuwait from September 2005 through June 2013. I am now living back in Calgary and use this site for posting whatever miscellany.

  3. Just stumbled upon your blog. Really Cool posts on Kuwait. I too worked in Kuwait for 3 years until last November. Among other things, was quite ‘amazed’ by the quality ( lack) of the media reportings on the English dailies. Your blog does a far smarter job of making the place lovable. Yupp, Shaab beach, Eid breaks, Corniche, Gulf Road, Sheeshas, Arabic cuisine mmmmm.. I guess, my reminiscenses warrant some nostalgic posts on my own blog:
