I threw a Slide slideshow together on the blog including music from Diana Krall (Canadian Jazz singer and a very good piano player), looks OK, so I’m not sure why it doesn’t work for you. Just embed all the code that the slide page generates.
My philosophy now with my site is to publish all photos etc. on my own site. Things like slide.com come and go as businesses come and go but I figure if it is all on my site, I will always have it. The web service I have, Bluehost.com, gives unlimited space for all files as long as they are genuinely used for the web site.

I’m not sure what you mean about “withslide.com”. Simpleviewer is at http://airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/ There are also some other slideshow makers available such as http://download.videohelp.com/tin2tin/index.html etc. I haven’t tried them.
I can embed the Vimeo code no problem, I did a post today here https://misterian.com/2009/05/time-lapse-music-video/
Make sure that the width setting is not more than your width in the blog theme. Usually it isn’t more than 500 pixels wide. -
about slideshows, they look nice withslide.com the way they appear , but making them thru this website is lil painful!

I used Autoviewer. I used the version that is built into Adobe Lightroom but you can get it free stand-alone here: http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/autoviewer/ Note that embedding the posts into WordPress are a bit of a pain. You can’t do it directly. So I use WordPress Kimili plugin also which allows Flash embedding into posts. I’m currently still experimenting to make these slideshows embed without an extra white space around them.
