I fixed it
It has been a very long night. I could not get my Maxtor One Touch drive to work and it has lots of backups on it. Finally with searching and digging I found this post which references this software.
Great software, not for the meek or weak but I got it running. The boot sector was damaged somehow.
Now time for some sleep and relief.
Now if only I could get the broadband phone modem working. That is tomorrow’s challenge.
