Water Requirement of Palm Varies with age

they did a study and noted that more water is needed with age and size, That is obvious. WHat is interesting is that one year old palm tree needs one litre per day in December and 12 litres per day in July. ANd for a ten year old tree it is 25 and 212. They say the trees roots can reach doewn as far as 70 metres underground. There are lots of palm trees , so that’s a lot of water and they say every year more are planted. The also said that the average date production is 300 kg per year per tree.
