This happened last week but I have a loaner phone and I wasn’t able to get the photos off the phone until today.
I was driving on the 212 towards the sea east of the Fahaheel expressway and stopped at the traffic light and saw these flames on the top floor of the building under construction. Then, to my shock I saw the person clinging to the top corner on the top floor.
My first thought was I don’t want to see this person fall and most certainly die from that height so I prayed that it wouldn’t happen.
The images aren’t great as is isn’t a very good camera phone. So it is a bit tricky to see the person.
In this photo he’s clinging to the edge.

And the fire truck with basket has arrived and is inching towards him.

Now the ladder truck is getter nearer and nearer. Also a person from a window in the floor below was trying to pass a ladder up to him. The wait was excruciating to see. Though it all happened in the time of one traffic light.

Finally this is where he’s horizontal into the basket.

And then the light turned green.
Update
I posted this this morning before reading the Arab Times which has a story on the front page today saying that she is now out of Kuwait.
Work – Travel Advisory for Kuwait and Kuwaiti Schools Also this update.

Salam Kal,
Thank you for stopping by,
I spent 19 years in the Arabic region and 20 in the American, and I lived in few Arabic countries and in few American states.
I am talking out of my personal experience, I’m not trying to please anyone, and if I give an American compliment it is because I’m American.
Sayd Qutob once said: I went to the west and found Islam without Muslims, and came back and found Muslims without Islam.
Meaning, The ethics in America is highly promoted and followed by the general people, while in Arab countries is not.
I have dealt with Americans, general people and business people the majority are trust worthy and honest.
American people are the nicest people in the world; their only problem is that they are misguided by their News TV.The voting issue has nothing to do with their ethics; Bush tricked the American people into voting for him by planting fear in them.
The destruction of Arab countries is run by Bush and his gang.
Americans are humans just like any other people, they do not want war.I do not see why Kinzi (or anyone for that matter) should be liable for anybody else but herself.
“How come we always find excuses for the rich and powerful but never for our own kind.â€
Not sure what ya mean here.Peace
The following article explains it very well.

There was a notice around saying they are dangerous. I think they are quite rare though?

I was going to dive today but woke up seeing a haze outside in the air. The water is not from rain but construction in the area. Though it did rain earlier this week. And, one breathe outside tells that it was dust storm. Well, hard to call it a storm as there wasn’t any wind in the morning. So no dive trip. I still went to Dive Caroline as it is only a ten minute drive with a Starbucks on the way for a single espresso.
So we went shopping to Salmiya and then Ikea and the new Avenues Mall. The photo is in the alley next to Eureka where I took my iPod in again for repairs and we also finally got a convection microwave oven. The iPod screen has gone bad. Apple quality, well they use electronic components like everyone else. Fortunately I have a three year warranty. Otherwise the warranty here is only three months.
The wind picked up in the afternoon a bit and it cleared off, but in the night the dust is back again. Covering everything.
